Victorian Living Room

My clients longed for a grown up room which could be used in the evenings and also when friends and family visit. They wanted to create a relaxed elegance while offering comfort for all that inhabit the space.

These clients had returned to the UK after living in Australia for ten years and wanted to bring a sense of sunshine to this day room. They love to entertain and wanted to create a welcoming room. The other area of focus was to incorporate some meaningful objects giving them a place in the design.

Here is an example of how clever choices can have a huge impact on a space. The only new element in this room was the sofas. Which had to be just the right size, style, and comfort level to fit the floor plan. It took some careful research but so worthwhile. The rest was down to styling.

Kitchen/Dining Room
Ground floor extension
Being connected to the outside was one of the drivers for this extension. Other practical reasons included re-configuring the space to make way for a cloakroom, utility and a study area. However the focus was always to enjoy the garden outlook.

Eclectic Living Room
Shop at Home
This creative client had lived in her home for 15 years and had collected many items. We were able to repurpose, reuse and upcycle and integrate them into a fresh scheme. Conscience of the environmental impact, we carefully selected one or two new pieces to bring the design together for a cohesive look. A fresh coat of paint in a contemporary neutral and some styling help and we were done.

Master Bedroom
Loft Conversion
This room was created in a Victorian property and the clients wanted the space to maintain its' period charm. Introducing floral wallpaper and deep green marries the old with the newly built space.
Media Room
Before and After
This room was to be the ultimate afterdark hang-out. Movies, music, deep conversations and (sometimes) a cheeky whisky is what this room is all about. Cocooning deep blue with moody lighting and impressive built in units that stretch the entire length of one wall creates the perfect setting.
